Fall 2008 Reading Program
This camp is an intensive reading program which is conducted by certified teachers and Master’s level Speech Language Pathologists. The camp targets reading fluency, reading comprehension, decoding skills and phonological awareness skills which are essential components for reading success. Research says that if a child is a struggling reader following the fourth grade, he may always have some difficulty with reading skills. This camp will focus on improving reading and comprehension skills for children in kindergarten through third grade using thematic units and familiar texts.
