"Speech Language Pathology for Children"
The therapists’ primary goal at Therapy Group of Bosque County is to provide the highest quality of diagnostic and speech/language therapeutic services to children in the Central Texas area. We believe parental involvement in the child’s therapy is a significant part of the therapy process. Parents are encouraged to observe and actively participate in their child's therapy sessions. It is the belief of the staff of Therapy Group of Bosque County, that in order for children to receive the maximum benefit from our services the family must be integrally involved with the therapy process. Speech therapy sessions are conducted during or after school on a weekly basis.
Our therapists provide therapy at the clinic, in the home, and at your child’s daycare. During the summer, for those children who receive speech therapy services during the school year, we offer speech therapy that will focus not only on maintaining the skills the child has achieved during the school year but building upon those skills. Often times during the summer months, children regress due to the absence of school based speech therapy. Therapy Group of Bosque County provides therapy services for children aimed at maintaining and enhancing the child’s skills over these summer months. Our staff of four speech – language pathologists are among the most qualified in the Central Texas area. The therapists of Therapy Group of Bosque County have a combined total of 42 years of experience ranging from university clinical instructors to a licensed bi- lingual speech language pathologist who serves on the Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Task Force of the Texas Speech-Hearing Association (TSHA). CAMP READ
Each year we offer a variety of summer, fall and spring programs. In summer of 2009, we will offer:
Camp Read Summer 2009
This camp is an intensive reading program conducted by master’s level speech language pathologists which targets reading fluency, reading comprehension, academic vocabulary and phonological awareness skills which are essential components for reading success. Classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday and last for 2 hours.
Registration begins April 15, 2009
Session I Classes: June 16 - July 16
Session II Classes: July 21-August 20

TUTORING
Therapy Group of Bosque Couny offers tutoring services for several academic subjects, including math, reading, science and language arts. All of our tutors are certified teachers and have several years of teaching experience. Based upon your child’s tutoring need, we select the tutor best qualified to work with your child. In the area of math, we have two tutors. We have a tutor specifically for 7th grade to 12th grade subjects such as Algebra, Calculus and Geometry, and we have a tutor who specializes in tutoring students Kindergarten to 6th grade. In the area of reading, we have two tutors to choose from. Several areas of reading are targeted during reading tutoring, including site words, comprehension, fluency and vocabulary. Depending on your child’s age and specific area of weakness, a tutor will be selected who is most qualified to work with your child.
