Having started her professional career working for the State of Texas as a Music Therapist with adult mentally handicapped, Susie Swaner then went on to work in Early Childhood Intervention and the Texas public school system teaching kindergarten and second grades. Later Susie returned to college to become a graduate of Baylor University with a Master of Science Degree in Communication Speech Disorders. She then obtained her Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech -Language-Hearing Association and is a licensee of the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Upon completing her studies as a speech pathologist, she then completed her clinical fellowship year at a Skilled Nursing Facility where she focused on improving the cognitive and swallowing abilities in the geriatric population. Susie has now expanded her talents to serve children at Therapy Group of Waco where she specializes in addressing articulation, language, and fluency issues. Susie also facilitates Camp Read, a Language in Literacy summer camp.
